So last night- well this morning at about 2 am my daughter and I sneaked into my husbands room as he slept and rearranged everything. Put all his things in different spots.
The reason we did this is because we believe he’s getting a bit too OCD for our liking.
Every night he has his same routine….turns on his lamp, folds one corner of his his quilt neatly down, puts his european pillow on the floor next to his bed….puts the smaller throw cushion neatly on the pillows next to him that he doesn’t sleep on….folds his tissues in neat squares and stacks them on his bedside table….The list goes on.
It’s driving us insane….all this orderly-ness!
Us creative people are just NOT like that!
Me moreso than Shai.
I am messy and disorganised and there is no “place for everything and everything in it’s place”….It’s just where it fits at the time.
Never the less my husband was a bit ruffled in the morning but by the time us nightowls got up in the morning he was amused by our antics. Everything is neatly back in it’s place again.
I am SO glad I have my own bedroom!
So here’s a question for all you creative people. Are creative people naturally disorganised messy people? I think for the majority this has some truth in it.
So, speaking of creativity….I’ve been at it again.
I think I’m getting the hang of this, and SO enjoying being able to let loose with my imagination!
Here are a couple of photo manipulations I have been working on.
Happy Australia day!
This one Shai helped me with by adding all the lovely magical lighting effects.
It’s called “Secrets”.
“The light at the end of the tunnel”
And this one I did this morning….rainy day here – staying inside…glorious!
It’s called “Letting go”
Letting go of the familiar and getting out of your comfort zone is HARD….but worth it!
i love that the two of you did this. and love that he put it all back. true to form for all of you. i am the same, creatively messy, and do not worry about where things land, life is too short. i love the photos, they are very beautiful and glad to see you back creating. who has time to put things away? they belong wherever they end up and that is just fine in my book, happy australia day )
Good to know my theory might be correct 🙂 I just asked my husband when exactly he discovered what we’d done and he said he woke up at 3 am – (so only an hour after we messed things up!) and put it all back where it was “supposed” to go… lol!
“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
Art is knowing which ones to keep.” ~ Scott Adams
It is not messy … it is just part of the process …
You have to spread a lot of dirt to find the diamond…
A good writer can justify anything …
Love, hugs and enjoy the mess … ME and the Boss
I love that quote! Oh I am enjoying…..thanks! 🙂
Happy Australia Day. You two are cheeky…. Think of it the other way…. Your husband might not like your “mess” as you call it. Everyone as he likes though. .. and it is fun to have a bit f fun with it.. 🙂
I wished I had a man being so tidy. Don’t find them often…
Trust me Ute, his office is a pigsty! For some reason it’s just his bedroom that has to be that way. 🙂
Hi Tracy 😀
Poor hubby !
I like tidy. Tidy is good. Tidy is where I don’t lose things !
Love your pictures. Very artistic !
