I’ve been on a frenzied craft kick because I made some of these peg ornaments to put on the stall alongside our candles and people went mad for them….so now I have to make loads more for the next lot of markets.
I started with these Prim angels. Very simple.
Progressed to snowmen….
Then the other day I got really ambitious and made Santa’s…except they have no arms.
I’m pondering on whether or not I could pass them off as disabled Santa’s…or just say to the little kiddies – “Hey…no need to be scared of Santa, he’s armless.” Or whether or not I really should figure out how to give him some arms. (What do you think? Any suggestions?)
And…he’s missing a miniature white pom pom at the end of his hat. I realise that, and I have been scouring the house and my craft supplies for something miniature pom pom ish. It will come to me.
At any rate, I’m fast running out of pegs and life is becoming an endless job of picking glue out of my fingernails and hair.
I look at other womens lovely manicured hands…and I look at mine covered in glue, dye,wax and paint and ….well, hey, at least I have fun with my hands and don’t cry over breaking a $20 work of art acrylic nail!
Love it…which markets?
Thank you! Maitland Markets this weekend, Ivy Markets in Springwood next weekend….after that I’m not sure.
We flit between Lake Macquarie and the Blue Mountains.
I absolutely love your craft and creativity with them comin from.someone who sucks at crafts @@ personally I think Santa looks great even without the pom pom and arms (:
Thank you so much ! Hey, I’ve been reading all about mosaics. Apparently anybody can mosaic. I think anyone can be creative, it’s just a matter of finding your “thing” 🙂 I’ll post of my mosaic-ing adventures once I discover what it entails. Probably loads of grout up my fingernails!
Definitely ! Everybody has somewhat of an artist in them, they also just need to find the right eye and person to perceive that (: Mosaic sounds quite a bit more intimidating haha, I’ll look forward to your journey! Real ladies get their nails chipped and ruined, like real men wear pink.
